Route tracking app

I am in need of a route tracking app which does the following. I want to walk a route. Pause it. Then come back at a later time and rewalk the route with the route showing in a different color. I would also like to be able to put notes directly on the map.

I have found apps that will let me change color, but not two different colors on the same route. And I have found ones that can pause but those don't allow for two colors.

I am using this for tracking with my dog. I lay a track, then come back later and the dog runs the track. I want to be able to compare the path I walked with the path he takes on the track.

I've been using Oruxmaps for years and it does everything you ask except it might not do the different color. Worth checking out. It's free.
