Root rtb explorer install question

ok, changed ROMs so i had to re-install the adrenaline shot, i used rtb root explorer to make sure it was still on my sdcard, i held down on it for options (curiosity) and it had the option to install in recovery, then the option to clear data/cache's, and finally proceed. my question is, after i ok'd it, my phone rebooted (no recovery screen), took quite some time to boot, did it automatically install this for me??

if so, this would be just about be a failsafe way for noobs it install/flash whatever needed.

apparently it did work, but wont work for kernels, at least mine didnt.
