I tried multiple times. The install was never able to succeed. I'm on a Win XP machine at work. I will try again when I get home on Win 7.

It doesn't give me a reason. Just says that my computer wasn't modified. Could be my specs are too low. I've got an old laptop.

Edit: Judging from the comments on that article, quite a few are having the same problem.

The installer doesn't say what the error was. It just says, "BlueStack (alpha) Setup Wizard eneded prematurely because of an error. Your system has not been modified...".

My PC is no slouch either. Intel Xeon 3.06 Ghz W3550 CPU, 8Gb Ram.

I was able to download and install on my windows 7 machine. My first impressions were not positive. Found it kind of difficult to move around in the apps and didn't have the same feel or performance that Android has. The concept is great, just a long way to go to make it functional I think.
