like i said i know how to get ics on the huawei ascend (m860)
you need:
cm9-https://code.google.com/p/aosp-rom-by-klavs-anson/downloads/detail?name=cm-9-20120618-u8500.zip&can=2&q=#makechanges
( i know this is for a different device but it still works)
cm9 ics gapps-http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip
1.start off by backing up your phone.
2.download the files and place them on the root of your SD.
3.boot into cwm recovery.
4.scroll to wipe data/factory reset and press the trackball to confirm
5.scroll to wipe cache and press down trackball to confirm
6.scroll to advanced and press the trackball to confirm it.
7.scroll to wipe dalvik cache and confirm it press back when done
8.go to mounts and storage and format the following:
boot
system
data
cache
9.go to choose zip from SD
10.choose zip from SD.
11.scroll to cm9 ROM and wait for it to finish installing
12. do the same for the gapps
13.press back when done
14.scroll to mounts and storage and select format sd(optional)
15.reboot system.
16.(i dont know mine doesn't have cellular data) you might have to flash the mms file below to use text messages to do this just do it like flashing the gapps/ROM.
guys i would really appreciate some replies for how this works out for you. it can help me help you find a loop hole around certain things.
MINOR PROBLEMS:
wifi bars don't glow blue but still show
screenshot doesn't work sometimes
some downloads are too big and become unsuccessful (but still downloads music and video fine)
videos online become unwatchable and
THERE MAYBE MORE PROBLEMS BUT I HAVEN'T FOUND THEM YET.
PLEASE INFORM ME OF ANY OTHER MISHAPS OR MESS UPS
