Running 4.1.1 and cannot update to 4.1.2

Newbie
Have been waiting for the anouncement of the next Nexus phone, and was disappointed that LG has been selected to be the hardware producer.

Therefor, I went to buy the Galaxy Nexus, and I found a demo version for a cheap price.

I am going for Nexus devices so that there are no carrier dependencies and updates are available almost on the fly when a version is available.

But this phone is only possible to update to 4.1.1 - running the updater, I am told that I am on the latest version... but the 4.1.2 has been available for a while now... and I have been reading post where people are running 4.1.2 on their Galaxy Nexus.

Now... my build number is JRO03C.I9250XWLH2

When I google JRO03C, I get a binary list at
listing a GSM version (which I guess it the international version) as well as a Verizon version, which I guess is for the US-version.

Looking at
there are no 4.1.2 version for Verizon. 4.1.1 is the latest version. Am I (allthough I stay in Scandinavia) having a Verizon phone, and is this why I can't update?

How to get latest stock android on Galaxy Nexus without rooting or other tricks - plain, vanilla 4.1.2?

And... how to make sure 100% that you are not on any fake android (security) as the phone is a demo version.

Regards, Lars.
