Root Running Android 2.3.4 on my Incredible 2

the phone is running great. a few issues: when you rotate the phone now..the buttons don't rotate., That should be able to be fixed pretty fast though. Also, I keep receiving an odd txt message every couple of min. from " 6250: VZWNMN: " and then that is following by a number...either a one or a two. It's getting annoying. And also, Backup assistant no long communicates with it, because of the different OS.. you cannot install it, also lookout security also will not work. The wifi hotspot is kick ass! However! Any ideas on the other things though?

The rotating buttons will not work on many of the ROMs available outside of stock. I have read it isn't likely to get fixed soon.

Those txt messages from VZWNMN are actually part of the new Verizon sync service they started everyone on without asking them. You can call VZ support and ask to have the "Sync and connect" service removed from your account. If the tech doesn't know what you're talking about tell them to get their supervisor. I have also read you can turn it off somewhere in your settings online, but couldn't find it. I just called and got it all removed.

I have had no problems with Lookout Security on any of the ROMsI have run. What is going wrong with it?
 
Major issues after installing 2.3.4 OTA manual update for HTC Incredible 2 today.
Phone goes into 'loading...' mode randomly for at least 5 minutes, some times 10 minutes, even after restarting and removing/replacing battery. This drains the battery too.

Widgets are no longer available - error message is 'problem loading widget' or 'the application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again - force close'. Now it's back to the 'loading...' mode.

Home/menu/return/search buttons don't work during this. I'm able to access the drop down options/quick settings, and have made it to the 'all settings' via the quick settings. However, still unable to access apps/phone/email...everything else.

HTC/VZW screwed the pooch on this update. Don't update until theses problems are fixed. I'll be on the phone with VZW tomorrow via land line and I don't expect anything positive from support.
