I want to keep some applications running while my display is off. I have tasker.
When I turn my display off teamviewer will maintain its connection to a remote computer. However, when I run tampermonkey, it stops running when I minimize the application or if I turn the display off. i know it does because when I come back, I have to log in.
I know I can use tasker to lower the brightness on my display and I know Ic an use it to run caffeine to keep my device awake. I don't want the screen on all day even at low brightness.
is it possible to keep tampermonkey running in the background when I put shut off the display. I think the droid operating system is somewhat unix based. So is there a way to have tasker or something else 'nohup' the application while my screen is off or if I minimize it. I would want it to stay running if I get a phone call, calendar event goes off, etc...
