Root Running blurry 2.3.15, Which ROM do I get for 340?

Zumi

Been out of the scene awhile, using Rubix Blurry w/ Froyo 2.3.15.....what ROM should I download to get to the newest OTA?

Also, any steps to how I should go about updating to the new ROM would be great.

2.3.13 was the stock nandroid for froyo, correct?

Also, can I just restore the system? i havent tinkered with anything else like freezing/deleting apps.

So I restored my system back to that nandroid....now its saying no update is available.

System shows as: 2.3.13.MB810.verizon.en.US
Model: DROIDX
ANDROID VERSION: 2.2

OK so my nandroid is 2.3.13, but could I update it to 2.3.15 with the zip from team black hat and go from there?

Update.zip is to flash your system from 2.3.15 to 2.3.340. It also updates your radio, bootloader and other neat stuff. But you need 2.3.15 first or it will fail.

You'd have to flash the 2.3.15 sbf with RSD lite, like I mentioned before.

I assume you did this:

Instructions:

1. Download this file to the root of your SD card: update.zip (alt link)
2. Do not unzip or rename the file.
3. With the update.zip file on your SD card and not in a folder, power off your phone.
4. Boot into recovery by holding down

Yup, says:

assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "cdma_shadow"

I tried with the method using the home key, and by using droid x bootstrapper recovery.

Forgot to mention, I've downloaded from both locations, still the same result.

Option "B" would be to SBF to 2.3.32, then if that works, again SBF to 2.3.340, then apply the patches to get the bootloader, radio, etc to their final versions. I assumed this would be easier, but as you probably noted, it's been an uphill struggle.

Let's see if I can find some links for you.

What about using the OTA? (says it's available when I check system updates)

I'm rooted on this, would that affect it? Can't i just reroot with Z4 after?

By all means try that. (I thought it didn't work, but I'm working two threads ;))

Root is usually broken after the update.

OK downloading the update now from OTA. I'll let you know how it turns out, hopefully doesn't brick my phone!

Good.

Did you apply the patches?

Next get it rooted, then back it up from Rom Manager so you have a stock_340 for next time.
