Help running mp3

Hi all,

First time I'm using Android mobile of any type - got a HTC One X and really like it. I downloaded an mp3 onto the mobile but whenever I try to open it the mobile just says "cannot open file". Has anyone seen this or know how I can fix it?

I have seen this a couple of times myself & it is usually a corrupt download or more often than not a wrongly encoded file. Try to get the file from another site this should cure the problem.

Could you re encode from source? I've also had issues when downloading via Amazon/Play, but as annoniemouse has suggested, redownloading normally sorts.

If you're encoding yourself, try encoding at a different bitrate, see if that makes a difference.
