Help Running out of internal memory

I know that the phone itself has a tiny internal memory, I was wondering if there's a way to have text messages stored onto the SD card where I have plenty of memory. I use to have an LG rumor touch and I never worried about text messages slowing down everything that is texting. So, any suggestions?

You can only store backups of texts if you use a third party SMS app such as Go SMS. If you need more internal memory, you can move certain apps (apps that use widgets can have those widgets broken if they are moved) to your SD card...you can use APP2SD or a toolbox app like ZDBox or Android Assistant to do it.

But if you still have mem issues, you have no choice but to root your phone and use an app like Link2SD, which then you pretty much can put almost ANYTHING on your SD card. There's a section in this subforum called "All Things Root" that can get you started...very simple to read, follow everything and you won't run into complications!

Yes, you certainly can save and move text messages to your sd card. Download SMS Backup and Restore. I use this myself to keep my texts updated in between rom changes. Works extremely well and is very easy to use!
