Running out of space?

Have an LG phone...LML414DL... and I keep getting a message that it's running out of space. I run the Smart Cleaning app and it frees up some space but not for long. It shows that 9.64 GB storage and 0.93 GB of memory are in use... 864 MN free and 1.03 GB free respectively. When I go to Settings, Apps and chose Apps that I don't use like Docs, Meet, Music, Sheets and FM Radio and chose to "Disable" them, I get this message:

Delete data and disable app? If you disable a built-in app, other apps may misbehave. Your data will also be deleted. No or Yes

Since I don't use these app, should I disable them in spite of the warning? I don't understand. ???

It will be alright, just disable it, besides if you only disable them, then it will not screw it up at all. Besides if you did uninstall them, it would of effect it though, but if you disable it and leave it be then yes, it should be alright with that mind.

That warning message about '...other apps may misbehave...' is just a boilerplate, generic reference to make a user aware that disabling an app might possibly have consequences. So if you don't rely upon Google Docs to store files in your online Google account nor listen to FM radio, or whatever, ignore that warning and feel free to Disable apps you're not actually using. If you do have a problem launching some app or with a service that always used to work, just think it through if it might be tied to an app you've disabled so you can just go through the process of Enabling it again.

This is why I hate android. You can never understand how much memory you really have. Once I couldn't make a very important video because it said that there was no memory

It's perfectly possible to understand how much space you have. You just need to understand that the phone needs some free storage as cache space, so to avoid the OS locking up it will stop you filling the storage. How much space it needs is a parameter the manufacturer sets, so can vary, but you should always assume that a GB or so should be left free. Don't try to fill all of the storage and you'll be fine.

To me "memory" means RAM, which is different from storage. You should never need to think about this at all, the OS can manage it. Under no circumstances install extra maps to manage, optimise or clear RAM, that's completely counter-productive (though such apps are popular with people who think that because Windows, especially older versions, cannot manage RAM other operating systems are the same).

Maybe I'll give it another try. I want Samsung Galaxy S22

Something that hasn't been mentioned yet:

Disabling preinstalled apps you don't use will not free up much space, if any, so that won't solve your main problem.

Your cleaning app probably removed temp/cache files leaving you with two likely options to free up more space. Uninstalling one or more apps that you installed, or deleting files like music/pics/videos.
