Root Running Thundershed 1.5 ROM...not so good battery life...???

So I just got my Thunderbolt a couple days ago and I put Thundershed 1.5 on and I was hoping for much better battery life...I've barely been on it at all today and its already at 45%...

Performance is important to me, but I feel that battery life is the most important. What do you guys think I should do? Is there other ROMs out there that have better battery life, I'm new to the Thunderbolt scene (coming from a Droid X) and I don't really know much about any ROMS I just heard Thundershed was "really" good.

Anyways I don't really like sense that's why I chose Thundershed cause its AOSP, if anyone can help me out that would be awesome!!! Thanks!

what are you settings for sync, brightness etc? i run thundershed 1.5 and my battery isnt too bad, but i'm also using Juice Defender Ultimate. have you looked into getting the Rezound battery? its a slightly bigger capacity than the stock TB battery but i get 2-4 hours more a day than i was on stock (all depends on how much i'm texting/AF-ing)

edit: after seeing your screenshot of the battery, thats actually not too bad for the TB. its known to be a battery hog.

43% of my battery is Standby, and 6% is Display...how is that "not bad"?

My brightness is set to automatic, not running any widgets on my home screens, no apps constantly running...I've BARELY used it today and its at 45%...I would be proud of that if I had been using it...

46% of my battery is standby and i'm at 51%...after 8 1/2 hours. if you want a phone thats going to last days, get a dumbphone. i've had days where i barely use my phone and it drops like a rock. your phone is constantly doing something whether you see it or not. your email syncing, FB syncing (if you use it). just because you dont use it often doesnt mean its not going to stay at 100% all day, though that would be awesome!

how long have you had the ROM on the phone? sometimes it takes a few days for it to adjust and settle in. you can also flash a different kernal instead of using what came with the ROM.

Thanks for the advice, I've had the ROM on the phone for about 36 hrs.

The only reason why I'm a little concerned was because on my Droid X I would get around 28 hrs on one charge...it was amazing so I guess I'm just so used to it, but also I'm only on 3g, where I live there is no 4g.

You're welcome. I'm also in 3g only. The longest i've gone was maybe 16 hrs. See if you can get the rezound battery and it'll help a little. Won't add bulk to the phone either

This rezound battery you speak of...can you use the stock Thunderbolt back cover? And how many mah is it?

yes you can use the stock TB cover. its the stock battery for the HTC Rezound that was released a few months ago. i believe its 1600 or 1650 mAH

Weird...it won't let me post the link on here, but on ebay there is a seller with 99.5% feedback, selling multiple 3500 mAh batteries with the cover and antenna for $3.98...

Seems like a really good deal to me?

Is Thundershed 1.5 the same exact thing as CyanogenMod 7.1.1 just different names?

Or are those two completely different ROMS?

I was trying to find Thundershed 1.5 in Rom Manager but it's not in there.

My two cents: flash imo lean kernel 6.1 and set to profile #2(extreme). Then download Screeble Pro and set screen to go off after fifteen seconds if phone is not in hands.

Suprisingly, Screeble Pro makes a significant difference, depending on what you consider significant.

I average about 19-24 hours per charge(to 0%) if I'm not playing games with anywhere from 2-4.5 hours screen time. I use a Rezound battery, which is 1620mah and also makes a signifant difference, though not a big difference. It all adds up.

Biggest drains are games, videos, downloads, phone calls. I set pretty much nothing to auto download or auto update except weather and email(every 15 min). That enough detail for ya?

Thank you for all the info, I've downloaded "Screeble Pro" now, but a quick question on flashing the imo lean kernel 6.1. I've never done that before. The only thing I've ever done was put a rom on, is it similar to that?

Practically the same thing. Download the kernel zip(make sure it's the aosp version), wipe cache, wipe dalvik, install the zip. Instructions for undrrvolting the kernel should be in the thread you get the kernel from, but anyone here can tell you what to do next.

So if I wipe cache and wipe dalvik does that mean everything will be gone on my phone and I'll have to start all over, my apps and all that stuff wallpaper ringtones etc.?
