Help running titanium backup

does titanium backup need to be running for the "frozen" apps to stay frozen, or can i kill it and the apps will stay frozen?

i guess the question is can i kill titanium backup from the advanced task killer?

I'm not positive, but I think that TB "freezes" the app by changing the extension of the filename to something other than .apk. Assuming I'm right; no, TB does not have to be running in order for a frozen app to stay frozen.

But why in gawd's name are you using a task killer?

thanks, but what should i be using to manage running apps/services on my android?

The general consensus is that android 2.2 does a fine job of managing your running services and apps. Most folks seem to be finding that task killers actually have a negative impact on performance.

As you can see I am responding in vague terms because I am sure there is someone out there who will say that task killers are the best things since mobile pr0n sites but from everything I've ever read they are either unnecessary or harmful to performance

What he said, except that I feel that their uselessness existed prior to 2.2. I've never used one, even with my MyTouch 3G on 1.6.

Let Android manage Android. It's designed to do that.
