Help Runs show and sluggish

I initially found ICS a bit slower compared to GB. Even after wiping the cache and a factory reset. It wasn't as snappy as GB had been.

Then I realized ICS has built in window animations that give it the appearance of being slower. These can be reduced or turned off under Settings - Developer Options- Window animations and Transition Animations.

I set both to Off, and most selections are snappier.
Just played around with those, and I think you're right. Also, try setting them all the way up to 10x, then you'll see some lag.

I've looked through a bunch of threads and i don't think i've seen this answered exactly. When doing a factory data reset does the sd card and internal memory get wiped? I realize i will have to reinstall all of my apps. If i back up the sd card and internal memory directories to my computer will I be able to move those back to the phone and reinstall apps after the reset and be back in business? Thanks. Not rooted, if that matters for answering the questions.

With ICS the Sd card shouldn't be touched. I think you are given the option with the internal memory. Either way, you can back everything up to the computer and then reload it. Apps, games, settings, etc will all be wiped though.

I did a factory reset last night following the directions on the Verizon website. I was given the choice of wiping the internal memory and chose not to. I had taken the SC card out of the phone.
