Now having more problems with charging my Tab S 10.5.

Only this cable (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00SUX2IPE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and any wall charger or my old low capacity POWER BANK will charge his tablet.

Any other cable, including this (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B010XSR0R4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and any wall charger or a newish high capacity Anker power bank will not work. Four other Galaxy devices I own can use any combination of cable/power unit I want.

BTW I cannot find the original cable that came in the box.

I am wondering if it is the USB socket of the Tab S that is at fault? Does anyone know what would be thd UK cost if having thag socket replaced?

Oy, wish I could help. I use that exact Anker cable and an Anker powerbank to charge my wife's Tab S 4 8.0. I know sometimes Samsungs can get finicky about the cable and charger block. Are you using a PowerIQ port on the Anker charger? PowerIQ on an Anker bank will (should) match the charging output to the device. Sometimes only a portion of the ports on a powerbank are PowerIQ.

If you look at the faint white line around the top three ports on the image below, those are the PowerIQ ports while the other three are just standard 2A charging ports.

Something else. My OTG cable does not work on this tablet either; again it works on all other devices. Thought it did work last July when downloading from camera SD card when on holiday.

I have now bought a 1 meter Anker cable. Works with any wall charger but will not work with old POWER BANK unlike both the 2 meter Anker cablers.

Also tried KIWIBIRD USB unit. Works well in all other devices but not in this tablet?

Suspect USB socket is going down?

I am posting here because this seems the only forum I can post i; wanted this in the S5 forum as well. If any mod. can find my three previous attempts at this problem please tell what forum they are in. Anyway my new problem:-

I am sure I have asked this before but under the new system I cannot find my old posts.

I want to connect, by bluetooth, my Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) and my Galaxy Tab S (SM-T800) so I can transfer files.

I am sure I have performed this in the recent past, but when I tried bluetooth on both devices they would not connect.

I have wifi off and bluetooth on on both devices. Scan does not detect the other device. I have unpaired and re-paired both devices and they detect each other for that purpose ( I press ok when asked if code ok). Howeve, even after reboot they still will not see/connect via bluetooth.

Any advice please?

BTW an Anker Bluetooth keyboard connects to both devices easily. The tablet connects to my bluetooth Music Receiver (plugged into my hifi) even though the Bluetooth connection page gives a message "No nearby bluetooth devices found"???

Coming back to this problem. May have found solution. An electrical expert looked at the tabket socket and said it did not look right.

On his suggestion I gently, with a piece of stiff plastic, pushed a tang in the socket away from the side it was nearly touching. Now most cables work with any wall charger, although none will work with a power bank.

Another problem has also gone; lately even whilst charging, the tablet' s battery was discharging if I was using it and it took over 24 hours to reach 100% charge, providing I left it alone. So other than power banks all now seems well. Hope it stays that way?

Bluetooth pronlem was user error :-;
