S III Battery use

Now that you have your Samsung Galaxy S III device, share your battery use...

Have you noticed great, good or just okay battery life?

Post images, too ;)

Mine (AT&T) has just been charged to 100%, so I guess we'll see how well it does tomorrow...

And for today...

What about you? Come on, share your battery stats :)

Just got mine about five hours ago so it's hard to say. Battery was about 50-60% when I first turned it on and it fell to about 30% by the time I plugged it in about half an hour ago. I suspect this is because 4G/LTE is on but I can't find a way to turn it off!

Yesterday.. Good screen on time with a lot of spotify :)

Rather weird, but I literally just took my device off the charger. It was at 100%, then I walked from upstairs to downstairs, it took me less than a minute

Wait for it...

My battery is now 98%! Seriously, I've not done anything on the device yet.

I'll monitor it for now, and if it is still crap later today, I'll have to wipe and reload it. Odd though, no? I've not installed anything major, along with a few keyboard apps. I wonder if they would cause an issue?

The first day I got at least 14 hours of battery life, with good use of it too.

I am experiencing about the same battery life as my iPhone 4S and EVO LTE. For my normal daily use I will get about a full day out of it and charge at night.

These phones often so drop straight down to 99 or 98%. Its nothing to worry about.

Yeah, I put a brand-new battery in my Droid X, and it dropps to 99% as soon as I unplug it, no worry. I was a little worried about how battery life would be on the GSIII when I saw how thin it was, but when I saw they somehow stuck a 2100 mAh battery in there, my worries stopped. Stock on my DX was 1550, and I upgraded to an 1800, so hopefully with my useage, I'll easily get a full day out of my upcoming GSIII like I currently do with my slowly dying DX! Good to see people are getting good life from them here, though.

...stupid Verizon, making us wait like this!

How are you guys getting such good battery life? Are you NEVER on the web?

What do you mean never on the web? Everything is updateing as normal but usually I don't surf on web because at home I use my laptop and at work my pc. I only read my rss, listen podcasts, read few forums. If I need something fast from web and I don't have my computer near me I use my phone.

Sorry, no screen capture, but I got 15:11 on my first full day of usage, running the phone until it shut down. Today, I'm at 10:48 with 35% remaining. I have never gotten such good battery life with any phone. And this is with Wifi and GPS always on.

This phone does better with everything turned on than my Atrix did with Juice Defender running. I'm very impressed.

Thanks for posting your pics.

As I've read in some other threads, the "Cell Standby" time is fairly high, not sure if it's a bug or something that has to do with the new SOC.

Just as reference, my Maxx's cell standby is 3%.

FYI...not here to troll, I have one on pre-order.

I've been thinking about getting the S3 when it comes to verizon but I wonder how hard it is going to be going from the maxx to the S3. I get 1day and 5 hours with the maxx

The 2100 mAh battery may be smaller, but Samsung bundle power saving technology into it. I bet its comparable.
