Help S note Drawing Mode Default?

How do I set S note so that the default is handwriting text input mode?

I tried the menu via the gear icon, to set "Change to handwriting recognition mode when the input field has been tapped with the S pen," but it doesn't work. It stills goes directly to the drawing mode.

I need to know this too. However, I want the default to be Keyboard Text mode, which it should logically default too if the S-Pen is in. This is a huge oversight in what is otherwise a great Note app.

If anyone is interested, I found out that it is not possible to change the default to text mode, according to Samsung:

"Thank you for contacting Samsung. I understand that you would to set handwriting text input mode as a default mode in S note app.

Unfortunately it is not possible to set handwriting text input mode as a default mode in S note app. "

They did go on to say that if a file was saved while using text mode, that this particular file would default to text mode the next time it was opened. However, I could not get this to work, and neither could the Samsung help desk.

A quick internet search reveals that this is an often requested feature. Seems to me that if features such as this would enable users to write faster than they can thumb-type, that the Galaxy Note sales would increase two-fold!
