Root S-Off help (already rooted and unlocked)

Hello,

I have come up with a temporary thread just asking for some advice. I will probably delete it after because the question has probably been asked many times.

I am running a rooted and unlocked (for a few months now) Evo V 4G. I was running Harmonia before and now it's running MidnightRomS121.

I've just been trying to increase battery power but these have not done it enough for me, I have heard a lot of good things about CM 10.1

So on that note, I would like to S-Off,

I currently have HBOOT-1.57.0000 with 4EXT Recovery Touch v1.0.0.5 RCB

The phone is CDMA.

I would like to do the S-Off safely but I would prefer not to redo everything I already did. If I really have to though, let me know.

You can start here. You should be able to start at "Step one - S-Off" and go down to #7. there is actually 2 #7s for the moment, So start at the 2nd one. you will basically start with making a backup before performing the wire trick. you may want to flash harmonia after, just for the moment to perform the wire trick, Because it may not work with midnightroms installed. follow the rest of the steps in step one, Then do "Step two - fix everything" all the way through.

you wont have to worry about "Step three - rooting your phone", because you already did that and you can just simply restore your midnightrom backup after doing the wire trick and fix everything.

Okay, I will start at #7 and do that through. Thank you, I just wanted some extra input if my hboot and everything is compatible.

Should I flash a stock ROM before #7 just to be safe?

the second number 7 is just backing up your current setup, Before doing anything else. You can make a backup of your midnightrom ROM and then continue on. between step 7 and 8, I recommend flashing a clean harmonia before running controlbear.exe in step 8.
