Root s-off without wire trick

im not 100% sure it may be possible but it would be MUCH harder to, the wire trick is like the key to the masterlock it makes everything easier, if your nervous about doing the wire trick there are videos and in depth guides about it when i did s-off i only had to do the wire trick twice and it was well worth it i was a little nervous too before i did it

Not that i know of, it's pretty simple to do. i did it my first try and has been a joy of being part of the wonderful s-off community.

I suspect Revolutionary or something may eventually get it, but for now, try the wire, it's really not as bad as it seems.

Just back up your SD card in case it gets wiped. That's the absolute worst thing that can happen unless you INTENTIONALLY try to brick your phone during the process

Lol it honestly took me about fifteen tries...and i honestly looked at the video for it about 4 times haha. I was so scared of bricking my phone.

I did mine first try. Paper clip with scotch tape. It's easy thanks to all those that did it first and provided tools and tips.

There is an untested method that a few evo 3d users used to get s-off by bricking their phone in a special way that they could put the 1.4 hboot on it and then use revolutionary.

Just go with the wire trick.

I used a spare sd card lying around so I wouldn't have to worry about my card.

Finally did the wire trick the other night. Used a complete coax cable with the copper sticking out haha. Got it on the first try but I didn't have the driver so control bear didn't finish. Ended up on the Juniper (SP) green boot screen, plugged it in, ran control bear and it completed.

Downloading HTC Mobster right now. Wire trick is super simple long as it completes.

I used a coated paper clip, one of the colored ones, stripped the coating off the ends with a wire stripper, and nervously did it. I was shaking like mad, just the thought of breaking $300, instantly! But don't try any other methods unless you're feeling lucky!
