Help S-Pen Nib Replacement

So I've had my Note 3 now for about 1 month and I was wondering when we should be replacing the 'NIB'.
So my usage hasn't been really extensive and I'm still learning how to fully utilize this fantastic input method and still have lots to learn.
But I'd like some feedback from other's who have used the Note 2 and Note 3 for longer what the life expectancy is for this important component.

When you've used it so much that the tip has worn down and doesn't work properly, or perhaps doesn't point as precisely as it had, that's when I'd swap a new tip in. It's just a little piece of plastic.

I've not changed mine and never found a problem on the note 2 either - although on the N3 it is possible to change it with the spares that came with it.

I use mine constantly (fat fingers). Got the N3 in October. Still on the same nib. My eyes aren't that great any more (none of me is) but I can't see the nib causing any problem until it's so worn down that you're writing with the holder.

From the manual:
While using the S Pen, the S Pen nib may get dull. If the nib is dull, replace it with a new one.

The nib is not a single material, it has a rubber cap and if you wear through it you will probably start getting scratches on your screen.

unless the material underneath the rubber tip/cap..
is made from really hard metal or broken glass.
it will NOT scratch the screen.

You can get s-pen replacements from 'Amazon'. I got both a black/grey and a white one so that it would cover my step-son's if he lost it and I'd have a spare if I lost mine.
I use the spare at my desk all the time so that I don't have to take it out of the Note 3 while at home, only when away so that it saves a little wear and tear and I get twice the mileage.

I'd like a bright orange replacement S-pen please? It'd make it easier to find it when I mislay it.

Hmmmm! Yeah! Hell yeah!

- Touch it up with paint?
- Red Nail polish?
- Colored Felt-pen?
