Help S Pen question

OK. So let's say I am about to attend a meeting. I have my meeting notes on let's say Polaris Office. It's in a 'word' format and it's about a page long. How can I use the S-pen to write on the note?

If I press the Pen, it takes the snapshot, but it's only the top half, which I can edit and write notes on. I can't 'edit' the rest of the page.

Am I doing this right? Is there a way to allow me to 'edit' the whole entire page with the S pen?

Editing the document with the pen? Selecting the pen is heavily discussed. Editing the finished document with the SPen with accurate placement: export it to pdf and with an appropriate application, mark it up using the pen. I use Lecture Notes. It has a keyboard usage mode and excels at pdf manipulation.
