This may be a slightly mundane problem but it's annoying nonetheless. I am running Android 4.1.2 on my contract S3 with Three (UK). Previously I used to have CalenGoo as my calendar, but because I didn't find it the easiest to read I decided to switch to the on board S Planner. All in all it's a better app than CalenGoo, and when I get myself a Note 10.1 2014 tablet in the near future I will be using S Planner on that with all of the S pen extras you get. I have it syncing only to my Google/gmail account, and one of the calendars I have S Planner showing is my contacts' birthdays.
However I recently needed to change the surname of one of my female contacts on my phone. The name change synced over to Google Calendar on my PC fine and the name change also transferred over to CalenGoo (which I still have on my phone even though I don't use it). However on S Planner my friend's birthday still displays her previous surname, and I cannot figure out how to change it.
If I go to Settings>Calendars I strangely find 2 options for contact birthdays. One is listed under my gmail account (because the extra calendars I display come from Google Calendar on my PC), but then further down there is another "contacts' birthdays" option in blue under the heading "show birthdays". If I tick this box and apply my friend's birthday it is then displayed on S Planner twice, once with her old name and the other time (in blue) with her correct new name.
So I'm sat scratching my head.
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks all.
