Help s planner notifications won't stay off (jelly Bean)

I use the google calender app instead of s planner so I switch notifications off in s planner. Ever since the Jelly Bean update I keep getting the annoying full screen alert popping up from s planner and I check the setting and find its re-enabled itself. I can only think it does this following a reboot. Anyone else have the same problem? Anyone know a fix? I tried removing calenders from s planner but then the gmail calender app wouldn't work. It seems s planner is intergrated into the OS so can't be disabled. I don't mind this provided I can stop it notifying me!

You should be able to disable the application in settings.

If you go into settings, and then application manager and scroll right till you get to all. Scroll down and find SPlanner and hit disable. This should stop the app from starting.

thanks. Is it ok to do that though? I'm always concerned about disabling in built apps when I don't know how integrated they are. For example, although I used gosms I haven't disabled the native sms app as I believe its still needs to be active. I noticed when I removed my calenders from s planner that the google calender app could no longer find my calenders (even though they were still ticked) which makes me think s planner has to be active. Or maybe if I disable s planner, google calender will become default??

What was the end result of this. Did disabling the splanner app affect the google Calender operating ok?

Hi

This also happens to me, and is extremely annoying (I also use Google Calendar by preference). Unfortunately, you cannot uninstall S-Planner (which would otherwise be my choice).

Disabling notifications in S-Planner works for a while, but they return later. Over time, I have realised that the S-Planner Notifications are re-enabled whenever the phone is restarted (which I tend never to do, but the phone has a mind of its own and restarts in your pocket whenever it seems to feel like it!). I learned to simply go and re-enable Notifications after restart. A pain, but my best option. :(

I have, however, just found another possible solution (S Planner: tips, tricks and troubleshooting | Little Green Robot) that might persist after restart. :o Too early to tell if this works, though.

Hope this is of assistance?
