Help S Planner

I'm not too familiar with S Planner, but are the two devices on the same Samsung account, and can you sync S-Planner? Seems to me that you should be able to sync it from one device to the other.

S Planner on my tablet just shows the same Google calendars as my other calendar apps (I never set up a Samsung account, as I've no interest in being locked-in to one manufacturer). That means that calendar sync with my phone is automatic.

What calendar are you saving appointments to? Most apps allow you to save to a device only calendar as well as an Internet calendar service.

I'm only using S Planner....... calendar, appointments, the lot! I assumed because I have both phone and tablet Samsung that they'd sync

I didn't mean the calendar app, but which calendar the app is saving the appointments to.

An android calendar app will save appointments to "a calendar". You can have several different calendars for different purposes. If you use an online calendar, such as Google calendar, Outlook or a Samsung online calendar (if you have a Samsung account) then as long as both devices are subscribed to the same calendar the appointments will automatically be shared. If you do not store your appointments in an online calendar then they will only be visible on the device you save them on. Just using the same account in the Play Store does not automatically mean your appointments will be using the same Google calendar: in the S-Planner settings there will be an option to choose what calendars are visible, and when you create a new appointment you will be able to choose which calendar you save them to. If you've been saving them to a local/phone/device calendar then that's the reason they are not syncing. If you've been saving them to a Google or Samsung calendar then we need to dig further to understand what's wrong.

(The devices don't have to be made by the same manufacturer. I sync my calendars between a HTC phone, a Samsung tablet and an Apple laptop by connecting all 3 to the same Google and Outlook accounts.)

Thank you so much....... my problem is that I'm signed in with different accounts and google won't allow me to change my main user account on one of my devices. I'll try to figure this out :)

What if you add each account as a second account on the other device? That should give you access to the calendars. Go to the system settings, accounts, add account, select Google then enter the account address/password. Then you should be able to add that account's calendar to your S-Planner.

I'm not sure what you mean. I already have a Google account on both devices

I thought you had said you had different Google accounts on each. It's possible to have more than one GMail account on a device (though only one will be used by the Play Store), so my thinking was you could add the other device's account as a second account and access the calendar that way.

But if you now have the same account on both there's no need to worry about that.

I'm going to take both devices to Telstra shop...... they can sort it out. Thanks for your advice
