So, I know that many people do not use S-Voice but I was wondering if any of you could shine some light on a question that I had. When using S-Voice you can set an appointment by saying something like, "New Event Dance class on Saturday at 1pm for 2 hours" as the ? button says you can. Now if you try to say something like, "New Event call mom on Saturday at 1pm" S-Voice will say one of a couple of items. Sometimes it says, "Cannot find Mom in contacts so they cannot be notified" and then it will delete the appointment leaving you to scratch your head. It can make the appointment with the correct day and time, but it will only have Mom for the title of the appointment. You can tell it to make an appointment called "The monkeys are taking over the earth" and it will title it Earth.
I called Samsung technical support and had them test a demo phone that they had and, with me on the phone, they were stumped as to why it would not put the full title of the appointment. I asked them if they were going to send out an update for users that actually would like to have it work the way that it is described in the documentation and I was informed that there was nothing they could do unless the engineers decided to fix it.
Anyone have any thoughts on how to get this to work, or am I just out of luck until the Jelly Bean update and can use the Google voice to make my appointments? Thanks everyone.
