Help S-Voice - "Network error. Please try again"

Hi Guys,

I got my SGSIII and I am loving every second. Only one issue, the S-Voice is always giving me "Network error. Please try again".

Any fixes to this problem? Anyone encountered the same?

My S-Voice does not seem to work at all. I disabled the "wake up" feature so whenever I press the home button twice S-Voice pops up ready to go. I can say any command in the help section, s-voice registers it so I see it on the screen, then just sits there and does nothing.
 
Try clearing data on it. Go to Application Manager > All > S Voice > Clear Data.

EDIT: However, the error recurred when I tried to use S Voice after exiting. Can this error be made to go away?

2ND EDIT: Never mind. I just found out that you need to be connected to Wi-Fi or to 3G in order not to encounter the network error.
 
I have had the galaxy s3 for a month now and S-voice always worked fine. This morning i got a system update and installed it for the phone. Now s-voice constantly gives me a network error. try again message no matter what i say. I also cleared the data for the s-voice and it still doesnt work. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how i may be able to fix it. Thank you
 
Since I got the firmare update a few days ago I have been getting the Network Error message with S Voice, and before that it worked pretty well. I tried clearing data and that did not help. Attached is my speedtest.

If you take updates and you get irregular operations afterwards, I'd recommend a factory reset to clear things up.
 
I just got off thes phone with tech support. The guy said he has a GS3 and his s-voice was doing the same thing. He said samsungs servers are down and will be back working by monday. So dont worry your problem will be fixed soon.
 
I got a similar response from a tech gal a few minutes ago. But she said they are aware of the problem and a new firmware update will be pushed through by Monday. She said it should be corrected by Tuesday at the latest.
 
Any chance this has anything to do with the rumored Jelly Bean update that the GSIII is supposed to be getting at the end of the month?

Or possibly in wake of the Apple/Samsung lawsuit??...
 
I have confirmed this morning that Samsung is still working on the patch that was supposed to go through yesterday for the S-Voice. I am in communication with the device team who is working with Samsung to get this patch put through for our customers because this is continuing to be a call driver for us today. There is no ETR at this moment.
 
Good to know. I have been trying to use it for 2 days now and every time I open it and tell it to do something I get Network Error Please try again. At those time I kept saying to myself I wonder if Siri is this obnoxiously stupid o use as well? Hopefully I have a better experience with the app once they get things ironed out.
 
Finally got my S3 today, after fiddling for a while i decided to try a few commands with S voice, i must say its very hit and miss as to whether its works or gives 'network error', up to now not very impressed :(

Does wifi need to be on for it to work or will it work with 3G or 'H', don't get much wifi here
 
I Also experiencing the same problem. I think the reason is overload for the server due to leaked s voice accessing from all other android devices. I'm waiting for the solution.
 
Mine seem to work at times but it will not work with 3G only wifi. I this how it is going to be from now on? when it works it is great i have the voice and everything just not consistently
 
When sliding the wifi toggle over to '1' why doesn't the wifi icon appear at the top of the screen like older versions of android, bluetooth does but not wifi.........or am i doing something wrong?
 
It is Saturday the 1st of September.at 945 am in Illinois and s voice seems to be working flawlessly with G 3 and wifi. I thinks it is fixed.
 
I am getting this too. (server error. The please try again). I have tried:

-Rebooting the phone
-Deleting app data
-"disabling" and "reenabling" the app (as it can't be uninstalled)
