My phone's done something so I can't write to my SD Card. It's clearly something with the phone, the OS, apps, not sure. The SD Card is fine. It can be written to when connected directly to my computer as an attached drive, but it can't be written to when explored on my computer when it's still in the phone, connected by USB, and some apps simply don't work on it now (e.g. MyBackup Pro, except right after a phone reboot).
I've reformatted the SD card several times using SD Formatter, used different SD Cards, but the results are always the same.
One symptom of this issue is I can write to the SD Card from the phone immediately after the phone reboots, but only for a minute or so. Apps such as Zedge will load if I try them right after rebooting the phone. However, after a couple of minutes after rebooting, if I try to load Zedge, it gives me "SD-card required for this application". The same goes for MyBackup Pro - it either won't backup or fails during the zip file creation.
I can take pictures, but when I try to access the resulting shots on the ext SD Card from the phone I get an error "Not enough space. Delete unnecessary items, such as downloaded software, pictures, videos, and documents"
I've googled all of the errors I get from the various apps/camera, etc. and none of the solutions has worked.
The "straw" came when I couldn't load the books I'd purchased on Kindle. The books I could previously access and read now return "Invalid item", etc. for which nothing on the various forums has a solution that's worked.
I'm looking for any help on this that goes beyond "reformat", "set back to factory", etc.
I could write a book about what I've done, not done, what likely caused this (an Android upgrade that screwed up the phone so badly with random reboots and no working Wifi, etc. that I reset to factory, etc.), but I'll leave it at this for now.
The SD Card is 32 Gb with 11 Gb free.
