s2 contacts

I have no sorted my down loading apps out and this is up and running, My problem now is that I cant get my contacts up off my sim !
Can anyone please advise with a idiots guide please step by step !

Open Contacts app>Press menu button>select import/export (this may be hidden under "more")>Import from SIM card>select where you want to save contacts

1. Choosing your Gmail account will also backup the contacts automatically on your Gmail. This means that when you buy a new phone, the contacts will automatically be downloaded once you sign in to your Gmail account.

2. Choosing "My Contacts" will save the contacts to phone only. If you don't make regular backups and the phone gets broken, these could get lost.
