I have read a few posts about wifi problems on the Samsung Galaxy s2. Restart the device by powering it down and remove and reinsert the battery. Also, if there is a router available - restart it or unplug it for a minute or two. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum jkbuck.

I used to have loads of problems with my gs2 and wifi. It would either randomly drop out of connection or I had to reset my router a few times to get it connected in the first place. It turned out my home phone was running on the same frequency as my router and causing interference. So all I did was change the channel my router was using from 7 to 11 and its been perfect since.
