S3 and USB Mass Storage?

Keep hearing mixed comments on the S3 and the ability to access the microSD card when hooked to a PC. At this time, I don't plan to root the phone and already know about the app for rooted S3's. Any consensus on this?

Not had any problems accessing either the internal storage or the microSD card.

Just connect via usb cable and the storage is readily accesable via my computer.

Did some copy and paste last night, even created folders on the ext card at the same time.

Were you able to transfer word/powerpoint docs and PDFs? If not, could you test it out for us?

Yes to all three. I'm not sure why'd there be any question about it.

When connected to a PC, you can access the microSD and the internal storage of the phone. You can do so with the phone connected as a media device or as a camera. Either method will allow you to transfer any type of file.

Never had a problem connecting to a PC or transfering.
Seems like the few with issues are all you have read about, I guess.

Those people should be returning their phones,
not posting online about it.
