Help S3 charger problems

Hi all. Can anyone suggest a fix for this issue?
My GS3 started charging really slow, 10 hours for a full charge. I rebooted and reset the phone and replaced the cable but still the same. In the end I bought a new charger, the phone charged in 3 hours again for 2 charges and now its charging slow again. Could the phone be damaging the chargers or am I just unlucky?

There have actually been quite a few threads on this just in the past month... and I think I found out what's happening.

When you plug in your phone it will think it is charging (red light, charging message, etc), but when you unplug your phone once it says it is fully charged it will immediately go back to the charge point of when you plugged it in.

What I started doing to help with this is when I wake up during the night (for me this is daytime since I work night shift), I will unplug and plug my phone back into the charger... then it seems to charge all the way.

Both myself and my brother experience this, we both have S3s, he is on Verizon and I am on ATT. Just sort of hoping that kitkat fixes it... :/
