Help S3 downloading pictures from computer by itself?

Hi all,

Today I was transferring photos from my dad's old phone to his new S3. I plugged the old phone into my computer with the Micro USB cord, dragged the photos onto my desktop, then disconnected the old phone and connected the S3. Then I dragged the pictures in the Camera folder of the S3. When they were done transferring I went to the gallery to make sure they were there.

They were but I then saw the name of my computer in the gallery along with over 2600 pictures from my laptop. I had no idea how the pictures got on there so I than restarted the phone. When it powered back on I went to the gallery to see if the 2600 pictures with my laptop's name were gone. They weren't.

I then noticed a WiFi-ish icon under the group of pictures. I then got the idea that the pictures were sharing wirelessly. When I put my laptop to sleep they went away.

I went into the settings of the S3 and all wireless sharing options were disabled. They were never turned on because I never used them before.

The notification bar now says downloading "305 . . .. and 8 more " (a really long number.)

How do I make it go away? I already tried restarting the phone with my laptop off. I did accidentally press the download button while looking at the pictures because I was trying to figure out what was going on.

Also, how do I stop the phone from finding my laptop pictures? Its really weird and I don't like it :(

it will always see shared photos on a shared network, on the phone you can click the menu button in the Gallery and say show by "device only" but it will default back to show all the next time.
