I think that if you drop your phone like that, you deserve for it to be broken...put a decent case on it if you're concerned about it breaking when dropped on concrete. I hate discussions like this...how can you drop a phone made out of mostly somewhat fragile materials and NOT expect at least some sort of crack/damage?
And since they arent doing a controlled test this really says absolutely nothing, or well, i guess it says "if you are stupid enough to throw your phone around like garbage, it might break".
My personal experience with my old phones is that they can survive a hell of alot of drops, but accidentally putting them in your pocket where your keys are, baad idea.

One of the very few negatives about the S3 is that the screen is very slightly convex, rather than flat. I assume this is all part of the 'natural' design but, unfortunately, it makes the screen more vulnerable to direct impact if the phone is dropped.
