S3 gone slow

It's been updated to the 4.3 version.. If I do a factory reset will it go back to the way it used to be when I first bought it??.. and what's the best way to save all all my pics and songs and that

Best way to backup pictures and music is to plug your phone I to the computer and drag and drop them to it.

Performing a factory reset is the best way to fix lag/other issues after an OTA update

Doubt it's the SD card affecting it, take it out and see what it runs like.

As said though a factory reset is usually your best bet when suffering performance issues after an update. Backup what you can first.

Yeah its gone slow it even affects messages coming through :/.. Thank you for the help guys it's just so annoying having to do a factory reset ha

If you like, you could try downloading Usage Timelines Free from the Play Store and see what is using your CPU and when it is using it. It is pretty much like Windows task manager's performance tab. Sometimes "Security Storage" will run and hog a lot of your CPU.

One time mine used 50% of my CPU for hours and killed my performance. I ended up having to let it do whatever it was doing, which took around twelve hours that time.

You can open it up from your apps like you would other apps and at the top you will see Show Load Timeline and Show Sys Apps. Make sure both are selected. The show load timeline puts it in your task bar at the top of the phone and shows the history when you pull the task bar down and open it quickly by pressing on it through the pulled down task bar. But from within the program you can arrange apps by cpu usage and see if something is hogging your cpu. The app itself will be using cpu and show up near the top, possibly, but that's only while you have it open like that.

So now you can keep an eye on cpu usage while normally using your phone, see cpu usage history when you actually open the app, and see which apps are currently using the cpu and how much of it they are actually using.
