Help s3 hung while charging

Yesterday whilst charging my sg3 hung and would not wake up, i unplugged the charger the red led stayed on and it still wouldnt wake up until i took the battery out, any ideas?

Unfortunately, every IT, technical machine has glitches at least once...Maybe this was just some weird glitch...Did it happen again or was it just a one time thing? If it hasn't happened again then I wouldn't worry about it.

upto now a 1 time thing but dunno if its just me or not but the bat seems to be not as good since but maybe ive used it more 10hr lost 60% with moderate use 1hr and a half listening to pod casts, 33mins flick shoot pro, dev idle 7hr 47, OS 10mins, standby 40%, screen 40% does that seem a normal discharge rate?

just been reading the polish jb update thread and someone says that after an update they had their battery life has dropped considerably, now i had an update the otherday hmm coincidence?
