S3 internet brightness

I have noticed that although the screen is nice and bright, when I start the internet it is a lot darker. I have read that there are seperate controls for the internet brightness but although I have searched everywhere I can think of, can't find them.

Anyone have any ideas please
 
...whilst you are browsing, hit the menu button. This will give a list of options, one of which is "brightness and colours" ;)

Stock apps have different brightness settings? While some would like that, I think it's a terrible idea. I just like having the brightness toggle in my notification bar (this is a custom ROM thing) where I can play with it depending on the ambient light but not the actual app.
Interesting tip though. :)
 
Do you have power saver on in the notification menu? I just checked mine and with this activated, the browser in definately darker.

As far as I know it's only the browser and video player. It makes sense that you might want different settings for these! Most book apps have individual settings too.
 
I too have the same issue. Tried to increase the 'brightness and Color' settings on the browser but to of no use. Tried to switch off the power setting mode, but to of no use.

Any assistance will be appreaciated.
 
In the browser open the menu and select brightness.
Turn off auto brightness
Select default as brightness level.
This will set brightness to same as phone brightness.
If power saver is on, u need to do this every time u open the browser.

To avoid the settings, I am using the Firefox browser for Android in my S3 which is really good.
 
Well on Vodafone UK we have found out that the Brightness and colour settings menu has been removed on the last update
On Non branded phones its there
so why have some roms got this and others not
 
i use boat browser but went on to the stock one today,i was outside and couldnt see a thing on the screen.
thought my phone was goosed,glad i found this thread.

I ran into this same issue with the stock browser as well. It took me about a day and a half before installing Chrome and making it my default browser. I haven't used the stock browser since.

Good tip about the menu for brightness though! I always have power save mode on as well, maybe that's why the stock browser was always too dark.
