Help S3 keeps unmounting SD card

Out of the blue My Galaxy S3 will tell me that my SD card is now safe to remove. I then cannot access the card until I remove it and put it back in.

I don't know what is causing the card to become unavailable. Any thoughts?

Try reseating the card but most likely it is a defective SD card.

While it could be the card -- it could also be the phone. I've had two SG3s now trash two different SD cards.

Unless you don't mind losing what's on the card, you should remove it, plug it into a PC -- and copy off all the files you want to save.

Then, you could try putting it back in the phone and reformatting it.
