S3 Metro vs S3 T-Mobile

Assuming Metropcs S3 will arrive with the same specs as T-mobile version, the main difference would be if you compare the contract T-mobile vs Metropcs, or prepaid T-mobile against Metropcs.

It would be unfair if you compare contract vs prepaid Metropcs because in terms of speeds contract T-mobile speeds wins here. Contract T-mobile speeds average between 7 mbps to 20 mbps. On the other side, prepaid 4G T-mobile speeds equal Metropcs but with more expensive plans.

In prepaid T-mobile 4G, plans are $50 with unlimited talk and text and 100 MB 4G data throttled on 2G speeds afterwards. Next plans are 60 and 70 with 2G and 5G, respectively. Same download speeds with Metropcs averaging 3mbps to 5mbps. On Metropcs plans are $40 for 100 MB, $50 for 2.5 GB, $60 for 5GB, and $70 unlimited 4G speeds.

Having said that, it will depend under what system your S3 will be used. If you consider using your S3 with no contract, I will take it to Metropcs.
Another thing to consider is I don't know if t-mobile S3 is LTE supported while Metropcs S3 will be. Right now, t-mobile doesn't have LTE network and eventually will start building LTE by 2013. LTE is being implemented by ATT, Verizon, Sprint (in initial markets), US cellular, among others.

like I said in another thread you really need to try and test out both networks then decide. Which one works better where you play, work , live. Who cares if one is faster over the other or cheaper if the service does not work where your at. The same could be said for the phones what good is that awesome hot rod phone if it only works over wifi

Hey guys I purchased the SGS3 on t-mobile just a few days after posting this thread. First off I have to say phone is amazing. By far the best I've been able to use but everyone knows that.

Now after using t-mobile for a short time now I have to say I can feel the differences. T-mobile is a much more stable network. My 4g never drops under 12mbps. I have service in places that I have not for the last ten years with metro " my rooms a blackhole" . My bill is still about the same price. Yes I did have to sign a contact with didn't really bother me too bad. I wouldn't go back to metro pcs.

The only con I have is that phandroid.com forums for this phone is nothing like the metro communitys on here.

Good luck hope you get the s3 :)
