S3 notifications for text/email

[SeaDogStat]

There just seems to be one default notification for both email and text. I've looked around but haven't found anything like the old phones had for different tones for different types of messages. Has anyone?

Thanks

You can use different tones if you want. I am.

Better still, copy your own tones to the ringtone and notification directories on the device

That's what I did. I don't particularly like the whole 'beach' type theme tones that Samsung have offered...

In the email and texting app, you should be able to change the tones for them. There just isn't a list of options in the Sound settings page.
