S3 or Note.

I just got the galaxy note and I really love this phone but the battery and size especially the battery make me want to change to the s3.
I juat really want to know if the battery life is better on the s3.

If the Note would have had a better form factor and been on Verizon I would have picked it up in a heartbeat. My Galaxy S3 lasts me about 11 hours with the battery saver on. I can't wait until they crack the bootloader so I can go vanilla and set CPU speeds. In my opinion Touchwizz really brings down the phone and causes a lot of wasted space on the screen.

10 hours off the charger.
3 hours screen on (browsing via Tapatalk mainly)
2 hours Spotify

30% remaining. I struggle to kill the battery even if I try. :)

I saw a comparison online and the Galaxy S3 outperformed the Note on everything..

I thought about this hard and heavy before going out and buying my galaxy, since a family member of mine has the note and I fascinated by it.. But even the theme on it, the note seems outdated compared to the galaxy s3.

I can honestly say the battery life on this phone is AMAZING for the features and hardware specs. With power saving mode off my battery will last my all day from when I wake up until I go to sleep. I probably throughout the day use 30 minutes of voice, and, the rest is all text messaging, web surfing, playing Dead Trigger, or listening to music.

For a 4.8" screen and an S4 processor this battery is amazing. With power saver turned on I could probably get this battery to last 36 hours straight.

The battery life for the Note is very good considering the size of the screen. The S3 is actually seeming to be about the same (I just got it yesterday so I'm not speaking with allot of experience yet)

The main reason to get the Note is the versatility of it. The S3 is a superior phone, but you can do anything on the Note you can on a small tablet or a phone. I wouldn't worry about the battery life as much what you want to do with the phone. You can always get an extended battery or a spare standard one if you're really worried.

Thanx for all you answers, I'm really considering the s3 but is thair something like an app that's like the s pen?

As an owner of both the Note and S3, I can tell you easily that battery life on the S3 exceeds that of my Note by a long shot. I don't have power saving on my S3 and with moderate use (mostly music and twitter), I've had the battery last well over 10-15+ hours. Now, keep in mind that it's not heavy use by any means, and with light use - the phone has gone over 24 hours before hitting "red" on the indicator. I have the same apps installed on my Note and it doesn't last that long. With moderate use, it will need to be charged at the end of the day. At least that is my experience. Maybe it's ICS but it seems to be more efficient with the battery. When not in use, the phone seems to barely drain.

I, on the other hand, am coming from Galaxy Nexus, love the TouchWiz interface. But hey we all have our preference. With Android, unlike close system, we can pick what we want. :)

If Verizon had the Note, I would have bought it when it came out. Now that the S3 is out, I may have went that route. It seems to be a good compromise between phone and tablet.

I'm on Tmo. There has been rumor Note will be out soon. I have S3 now .. and will consider getting the Note too because of the form factor. Hey, I'm a big guy with big hand :)

I've had the Note for awhile. I initially thought that my battery was alot better in the S3, but once I got everything setup, and all the same apps installed, its about the same for me.

I'm not a benchmark junky. All the games were smooth on the Note, and are equally smooth on the S3. Where games tended to hang or lag, they pretty much do it on the S3 too. Like Mini Motor for example. There's no denying the S3 is faster and has more ram. The S3 has higher resolution. faster cam (although not seeing a big jump in quality). But in real world use, they are both very good and in my opinion comparable. Of course there are tons of neat things the S3 can do that the Note cant, but in daily use, it's hard to quantify the value of those features. At least for me. Other people may use Photo Buddy Share every day. lol

The Note just has such a huge advantage on useability. The screen real estate is just so awesome. Typing is easier. browsing is more comfortable. The wider aspect ratio screen is just so much better in so many apps. I *love* the Note. It's huge for a phone.. but small for a tablet/pc that you can have with you at all times, right? However, it's size just finally got too tedious for me. I'm enjoying the S3 right now, nice to have a reasonably sized phone that can be handled with one hand. I can do much of what the Note can.. so, I'm going to stick with the S3.
