Help S3 public wifi issues

wedge2999

Lurker
I have a S3 on the T-Mobile network. I am currently having the issue where it will not connect to the public wifi at my work. It does show the network and I can tap to connect to it but it tells me that it is getting an IP address and thats it. I connect to my home wifi just fine.

It seems to not connect to any wifi where it requires a web page to accept some kind of user agreement. I have tried restarting in safe mode and it connected the first time. However after restarting to exit safe mode it would not connect and when I tried safe mode again nothing would connect. I did do a factory reset yesterday and it has not helped at all.

If anyone else has had this issue and had any luck please let me know. I really dont want to be without my phone if I have to send it out for repair.

here are some screen shots I could capture. The last one is new but it still shows the problem.

Fixed the issue by going Settings>WiFi>Advanced and uncheck the Auto network switch setting. Not sure why it was selected in the first place.

Its been standard that the box is checked with the current updates that have been rolling out. So that's why it was checked.
