Help S3 restarting and over heating

help! yesterday my samsung sIII mini restarted lots of times, it was doing it so much that it started to over heat it was too hot to touch! It does the same in safe mode, so im guessing its not a faulty app. the power switch seems fine. ive taken out the battery and everything and it still restarts and over heats! how do i fix it?:eek::confused:
 
I'd try a factory reset. If that doesn't work I'd reflash the firmware.
(in case you didn't know, factory reset wipes all user data and apps so back up what's important to you)
