Help S3 Screen stays on after latest firmware upgrade

I've just noticed after the latest ics update a few days ago, sometimes when I put my phone down the screen stays on. I have it set to go off after 1 minute of inactivity. I don't use the smart stay feature. But I've tried it with it turned on and off and it still does it. It seems today a reboot of the phone fixed the problem, for now. BTW it is not plugged into the charger when it does this either. Anyone else have this problem?

While i dont think the rom i'm using has the same "update" that you downloaded... I have (including last night) had the screen not turning off issue and a reboot seems to fix it everytime.

My stock Verizon S3 does this from time to time. Reboot fixes it, just like you noticed.

I don't recall this happening on the CM10 ROM that I briefly used before restoring to stock.

You don't happen to have Drivelink installed (from the Samsung app store)? That's been causing screen on issues for some people. Try uninstalling it.

This is happening with my S3 also! Not all the time, but on many occasions I assume the screen has turned off, but when i come to use the phone again, the screen is till on! Even many minutes after I stop using it. I have no apps running either. Any suggestions from anyone?
