Help S3 Screen suddenly stopped working correctly

Hi,

I was using my S3 just now and all of a sudden the screen stoppedd working. Firstly only the top fifth of the screen shown - and this was a pinkish colour/flickering. Now the top fourth of the screen is shown - the touch screen still works fine; but i'm left without most the screen ! The rest is just black.

Any ideas what has happened? Phone has never been dropped/exposed to water etc; only a few months old.

Thanks, I will do that if I can't get it working. Currently letting it sit without the battery/sim in for awhile - hoping it will work in an hour or so.

Anyone know of any tricks which could help restore it? I'm thinking maybe it's a software error? There was no sudden impact/movement of the phone when it stopped working -I was typing a text message out and all of a sudden it broke :(

It sounds to me like a faulty OLED panel, Connection, Motherboard tbh.

You should always do a factory reset first to rule out software, but it doesn't sound like software to me.
