S3 syncing with Google Calendar

There seems to have been some isues with this?

Can this be done easily? Or do you have to manually choose 'Google Calendar' everytime you input an event?

Thanks...

If you're finding that the default is "Samsung Calendar"< remove the account from android settings > accounts. Then re-add it and untick all syncs before they finish syncing. Then back in calendar > Calendars, untick the samsung stuff. Now gmail is my default.

Thanks - I'll look into that. I can't find a solution to this anywhere on the net (obviously needed to look so more!!)!

This is my big concern with buybing a S3. If it's fixable, then thats not too bad!

It's either the S3 or the new HTC ONE X+.

Hi
I use Google calendar on both pc and S3 and find it's brilliant. Yes, it does sync

I've just checked my settings in the calendar on the S3 and have my gmail.com address that is associated with my calendar ticked. I don't have the Samsung Calendar ticked as that seems to be associated with a different address (ie my 'disposable' address I use on web) and I don't have my calendar associated with this one.

I don't know if any of this is helpful to you but, be reassured, yes Google calendar does work and sync.

Don't know about the HTC but I'm finding the S3 superb and would recommend it, for what my opinion is worth ;)

Cheers

Thanks Sparrow...

I'm just majorly confused now... :-)

I've gone from wanting the S3, to the HTC one x+ as I had read about these issues...

Ok, thanks. I'll be looking into this before deciding!

Hi Dibs

I have to say, I did a LOT of research into the features, pros and cons, of Galaxy S3, HTC 1X and Sony Xperia S. Like you say, it's very confusing and each have some features that the other doesn't.

Only by comparing the features, and then deciding what was most important to me, was I able to finally make my decision to go for the S3. Believe me, I've had no regrets and have only heard good things since buying it too!!!

However, it's a very personal choice so only you can decide what to go for!

PM me if you would like to discuss what swayed me towards the S3 etc, if you would like. I'm no expert, though - just did a lot of homework!

Cheers
