When you plug in the USB cable from the phone to the PC, if you have Windows 7, the operating system is smart enough to install the necessary driver for you (you should see a series of prompts on the system tray to tell you exactly what the OS is doing). After you see the prompt for something like "the device is ready to be used" or something like that, you will have a dialog box with options like "open the folder". Clicking on that option will open up your phone's storage in a Windows Explorer. You do not need to install any tool.PC does not recognize phone but it does as a camera>![]()
My AT&T US version I couldn't get the phone to mount via USB only charge...I tried everything, what I found out to be the problem...the cable that ships with the phone. When I used the supplied cable it would only charge the phone and not mount the drives. When I used the USB cable from my other droid phone it worked fine. Oddly enough I tried the Samsung supplied cable with my other droid phone and it didn't mount either, just charged.
Try a different cable.
