S3 vs SIII case?

I bought a generic case on Ebay for my S3 (Sprint) SPH 710 but the case they sent me says "for Samsung Galaxy S3/I9300" and it doesn't seem to fit. The case is a 2 piece case with hard covering over silicon rubber gel case. It looks smaller than my phone and I didn't want to stretch it and end up breaking it. Are these two the same or are they different sizes? Should I just stretch it to fit.

All versions of the SGS3 (Or SGSIII) are physically the same. If a case fits one it fits them all. And if it doesn't fit one it won't fit any of them.

S3 = SIII

SIII = S3

The "SPH710" is just information to identify the carrier, but ALL Galaxy S3 devices (domestic and international) are cosmetically identical.

Sounds to me that the case itself wasn't designed correctly or for another device.

Wow do I feel dumb!!! Can't believe I didn't see that the plastic case was 2 pieces, snap on, then the rubber over the top.
It's actually a really nice case with a kickstand and everything!!! Oh well, live and learn!!

LOL, we've all had brain fade like that before. Glad you figured it out without breaking anything...Other than your pride a little.

I have Verizon and was advised by an At&T employee in their store that their version was slightly different than Verizon's and their cases wouldn't work....not true??
