S4 Digitizer Broken???

I cracked my s4 screen and now the display doesn't show but I can hear notification sounds. What exactly is broken, what do I need to fix it, and how much will it cost?
 
You should talk to innovustechnology.com , I had a similar problem when I dropped my phone. They actually fixed it up quite nicely.
 
I think they just replace all the screen pieces. If you send it back to samsung I think they'll charge you like $100, unless you're still on warranty. which isn't bad
 
If the OP is in the right country - always worth remembering that the Internet is international ;)

But OP, as has been said there is no way we can tell you exactly what is broken just from the fact that the screen is black - chances are you need a new screen, but it might just have become disconnected. Someone, either you or a repair shop, needs to open it up and have a look.
