google maps not finding gps

Have you enabled gps? Pull down the notification bar and click on the icon, or
menu button
system settings
location services
tick "Use gps satellites"
Are you in a building? GPS satellite signals do not penetrate buildings very well - try it outside.
Is it just google maps? Install GPS Test from the play store and see what that tells you.
