Help S4 keeps shutting off.

Hi, long-time reader, first-time poster.

My S4 has been repeatedly shutting off for the past month or so, but it's been getting worse recently. I've tried replacing the older battery with a new one, I've removed the S4 card, I've even tapped the phone against an object to ensure the power button wasn't stuck, but none of it is helping. Does anyone have any idea as to why this keeps happening?

I had a similar problem with a Galaxy Trend, it would turn itself on and off at will, never when I wanted it to of course, lol. I finally gave up and took it to the repair shop and it turned out to be a faulty power button. I never would have guessed it because the button felt normal to the touch, so while yours may not be stuck, it still could be the issue!
